Building Updates
Temporary accommodation block
The Department of Education and Skills have granted approval for a temporary accommodation block for September 2017.
This block consists of 14 classrooms, 1 Construction Studies/ Materials Technology Wood room and 1 Engineering/ Technology room. The building will also include toilets, a social area and room for lockers. Architectural consultants have been appointed and planning permission has been sought. The tender for the construction of the temporary block is also in process.
The existing school building in Summerhill will also be refurbished to accommodate the students from both schools. Included in the works are renovations of some classrooms, refurbishment and conversion works to toilets and staff-room.
These works will ensure that the Summerhill campus will be a comfortable environment for all students until the new school building is completed.
